St. John’s College,
Student Activity Center
Santa Fe, New Mexico, 2000
22,000 square feet
Designed by Lloyd & Tryk Architects
To comply with strict land-use constraints on Santa Fe’s historic eastside neighborhood, this building, the first phase of the St. John’s College expansion, is buried into the hillside and well disguised from the outside. Inside, however, are a full-size basketball court, squash/racquetball courts, a weight room, and men’s and women’s locker rooms.
